Josie E. Hunt, 83, 360 11th Street and a lifelong resident of Marion, died Monday March 29 at the Anamosa Care Center in Anamosa. She was born the daughter of Charles and Julia Cridler Garrison on Jan. 3, 1893 at Marion. On Feb. 12, 1920 at Marion she was married to Elmer Betzer, who died Nov. 5, 1956 at Cedar Rapids. On Oct. 19, 1957 at Nashua she was married to Arthur Hunt. Mrs. Hunt was a member of the Grace Baptist church.
Surviving are her husband; two step-sons, Raymond L. Hunt of Marion and Arthur D. Hunt of East St. Louis, Ill. eight grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. George (Lois) Struck of Marion. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Garrison.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 2 at the Grace Baptist church in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Donald Martin. Interment: Oak Shade Cemetery. Murdoch chapel in Marion has charge of the arrangements.
