Mrs. Bernice Kinkead Is Dead at Age 64
Mrs. Bernice S. Kinkead, 64, of 1395 Ninth street, Marion, died Sunday in a Cedar Rapids hospital after a six months' illness.
A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Beiber, she was born Jan. 27, 1892, in Marion. For a number of years she was employed as a cook in a Marion cafe.
Surviving are two sons, Melvin R., of Marion and Marion A. Kinkead of Anamosa; six married daughters, Mable I. Ash and Lula B. Talyat, both of Cedar Rapids, Molly Foster of Waterloo and Mildred A. Waite, Betty J. Beck and Pauline Rick, all of Marion; 19 grandchildren; two brothers, Claude Beiber of Wilbur, Neb., and Wesley Beiber of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Straka of Central City and Mrs. Mable Wightman of Cedar Rapids.
The body is at the Murdoch funeral home. Funeral services will be announced later.
