Homer F. Hunsaker, 79, of 2595 5th ave., and a resident of Marion since 1942, passed away at 7:20 p.m. Monday, July 6 in a Cedar Rapids hospital. He was born the son of J. Franklin and Magdoline Finney Hunsaker on Dec. 9, 1890 at Bethel, Mo. On March 8, 1916 at Shelbyville, Mo. Prior to 1942, Mr. Hunsaker had farmed at Bethel, Mo. After moving to Marion and until his retirement in 1962, he was employed by Collins Radio Co. Mr. Hunsaker was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist church of Bethel, Mo.; and a life member of IOOF.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Ann) Smith of Springville; a granddaughter, Mrs. Robert (Jane) Hanna of Philadelphia, Penn.; two brothers, Obay Hunsaker and Percy Hunsaker of Palmyra, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Ahart, Idaho Falls, Idaho and Mrs. Hazel Gumpton of Leonard, Mo. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul.
Services were 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 at the Murdoch chapel in Marion, conducted by Rev. Charles Moore. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery, Marion.
