Walter D. Morrison, 86, of 3306 N. Marion Rd., Marion, died Tuesday, March 22, 1994, in his home after a short illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Baxter Funeral Chapel, Marion, by the Rev. Clark Vincent of First Presbyterian Church, Marion. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Eileen Strouse of Littleton, Colo,; and a son, Richard of Alburnett.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Walter was born March 5, 1908, in Cedar Rapids to David and Anne Huth Morrison. He married Dorothy Lee Michel on June 8, 1933, in Marion. She died Sept. 8, 1990. Walter farmed and as a rural mail carrier. He was one of the first board members to help develop the Linn-Mar School District.
A memorial fund has been established.
