Zelda M. Adams, 77, of 3014 Belmont Dr., Roswell, New Mexico, died Sunday, June 26 at St. Mary's Hospital in Roswell, New Mexico following a sudden illness. The daughter of Cecil B. and Dena M. Deyo Kirkpatrick, she was born on Nov. 18, 1905 at Davenport, Ia. On July 4, 1926 at Marion, she was married to John C. Adams. Mrs. Adams was a graduate of Strawberry Point High School and moved to Marion in 1924. She attended Coe College and taught school in Linn and Clayton counties. In 1975, she moved to New Mexico where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Roswell; the Hi Neighbors Club; and the AARP Club.
Surviving are her husband {the rest of living family omitted for privacy}; two brothers, Milton Kirkpatrick of Montrose, Pa., and Dean Kirkpatrick of Portland, Ore.; and a sister, Ethel Krikpatrick, of Portland, Ore.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at La Grone Funeral Home in Roswell, New Mexico. Graveside services were held June 30 at 2 p.m. at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion, con-the First United Presbyterian Church of Marion. Murdoch Funeral Home had charge of the local arrangements.
