David S. Stewart, Railroad Employee, Died Here Friday

David S. Stewart, a resident of Marion since the early nineties, died at his home 524 Sixth street, Friday, July 19th, having been compelled to give up work June 29th, after working through failing health for a number of years. He was a Milwaukee employe, working with the railroad police.
He was born in Albia, Iowa, July 26, 1863, and was the last survivor of the ten children born to James and Mary Stewart. He was married in 1891 to Susie Cark[sic] at Simth[sic] Center, Kansas, and after residing a few years at Kansas City, they came to Marion. Here their two children were born, a daughter, Mrs. Leon Klemish, who died March 6, 1930, and a son, Glenn D. Stewart of Cedar Rapids, who is left to comfort the bereaved wife and mother.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Yocom chapel, members of Osceola lodge, No. 18, I.O.O.F., of which the deceased had been a member for 34 years, attended in a group. Burial was made in the Oak Shade cemetery.
