Leslie McDonald Rites To Be Held Tuesday
Leslie McDonald, 85, of 998 Ninth street, Marion; a retired painting contractor, died Saturday at 7:40 p.m. in a Cedar Rapids nursing home following a long illness. He was born April 13, 1871, at Paris, Ia., and was married to Daisy Iehl at Walker on Sept. 25, 1904. Mr. McDonald grew up in the vicinity of Troy Mills. He moved to Racine, Wis., during World war I and was employed by the government. He had lived in Marion since May, 1926, and retired several years ago because of ill health. His wife survives.
Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Murdoch chapel by the Rev. Jean P. Hauter. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
