Frank B. Travis, 85, of Bellingham, Wash., passed away Aug. 30, 2006.
He was born June 5, 1921, in Marin, Iowa to Milo and Edith (Buzza) Travis. Frank married Margaret Lambertsen on March 17, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Frank was a captain in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in the 774th Field Artillery in the European Theatre. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1948 and lived and worked as an engineer in Brazil from 1951 to 1979. He and Margaret had lived in Whatcom County, Wash., since 1979.
He was a member of I.E.E.E., Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, Bellingham and Squalicum Yacht Clubs, U.S. Navy League, American Legion, VFW, Mount Baker MG Club, AARC and the Whatcom Maritime Society.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; {living members omitted for privacy}....
