Lillie Etta Miller Died Monday Evening After Long Illness
Mrs. Lillie Etta Miller died Monday evening at 7:20 o'clock at the family home, 1060 Second avenue, following a lengthy illness.
She was born December 1, 1875, at Monmouth, Ill., the daughter of Sylvanus and Emily Gibson, and for a number of years taught school there, then spent two years in Portland, Oregon, coming to Marion in 1910. She was married at Vinton on March 4, 1915 to George W. Miller, who survives, together with one sister, Mrs. Marcia Reynolds and one brother, Lewis Gibson, both of Monmouth. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Methodist church at Monmouth.
The Millers made their home with Mr. and Mrs. George E. Stark, Mrs. Stark being a sister of Mr. Miller.
Funeral service were held Wednesday at two p.m. from the Yocom chapel, with the Rev. J.B. Clyde, pastor of the Prairie Chapel church in charge. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
