Emma C. Voris Services Monday
Mrs. Emma Crawford Vorie[sic] died at her home in Fairhope, Ala., Jan. 5, 1950 after a prolonged illness.
Mrs. Voris was born in Bedford, Ind. in 1861, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William A. Crawford.
Before her marriage she lived at the family home near Vinton, Ia.
Mr. and Mrs. Voris lived in Marion for many years.
After her husband's death in 1930, Mrs. Voris moved to Alabama where she lived with her sister, Miss Ellen Crawford.
Other survivors are a brother, Walter N. Crawford, New Hampton; a step-daughter, Miss Bess Voris and daughter-in-law, the widow of the late William E. Voris; their three children; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the grave in Oak Shade cemetery at 10 a.m. Monday by The Rev. C.V.R. DeJong.
