Obituary of Warren A. Beeson.
Warren A. Beeson was born in Marshall county, Iowa, July 23, 1856, and grew to young manhood on his father's farm. After completing his high school education he entered Penn college at Oskaloosa, Iowa.
In 1875 at the age of twenty he entered the employ of the Iowa Central railway, in the train department.
He was united in marriage with Flora E. Rose of Gilman, Iowa, on Aug. 11, 1880, and to this union were born two sons Ernest and John; the wife and two sons surviving the husband and father.
Mr. Beeson was for many years a freight conductor on the Burlington in Nebraska, and up to a few years ago was employed as freight conductor on the Milwaukee railroad, at this place, and he was a member of the Order of Railway Conductors for a great many years.
Several years ago Mr Beeson received injuries while on duty, which incapacitated him from railroad service, this injury together with other complications being the direct cause of his decease.
Since being unable to continue his railroad duties Mr. Beeson, had been in the employ of the Victor Safe and Lock company of Cincinnati, Ohio, in the capacity of traveling salesman.
Of kind and loving disposition, he struggled against odds, to combat the injuries which he had received, and suffered patiently.
Mr. Beeson was large and healthy looking, and many were led to believe his physical condition, indicated, but he suffered constantly, and bore more than his share of pain and suffering.
Mr. Beeson was the eldest of seven children, three of whom are deceased, and is survived by his wife Flora, sons Ernest and John, his brother Frank Beeson of Marshalltown, his father, J.C. Beeson, also of Marshalltown, Mrs. Isa Crosby of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Blanche Hurst of Marshalltown, and Mrs. Christy Maulsby of Rockwell City, Iowa.
Mr. Beeson was of sunny disposition, and was every ready to assist the worthy and administer to the suffering. He never lost an opportunity to cheer those whose load seemed heaviest.
