Mrs Flora Beeson Died Saturday Nite After Long Illness

Funeral services were held at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Flora Beeson, 75, who passed away Saturday night at her home, 1160 Twelfth street. She had been ill for the past eight months.
Mrs. Beeson was born at Lanark, Illinois, Sept. 19, 1859, as Flora Rose, the daughter of Joseph and Louise Rose. She moved at the age of seven to Gilman with her parents.
She was married August 11, 1880, at Gilman to Warran[sic] A. Beeson, and two sons were born to them. They are Ernest and John, both of Marion. Mr. Beeson died in 1911.
Mrs. Beeson was a member of the Methodist church, and the Robert Mitchell Woman's Relief Corps, No. 126. Until a few years ago, she had taken an active part in the work of the various organizations of which she was a member.
Surviving are her two sons, one brother, George Rose of Conrad, two sisters, Mrs. M.W. Anderson of Lawn Hill and Mrs. S.D. Jones of Conrad and one grandson, John Beeson, jr., of Marion.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Yocom chapel, the Rev. John M. Walters, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
