Grace E. Todd Died Suddenly Tuesday
Grace E. Todd, prominetn Marion lady, passed away suddenly at 10:35 o'clock Tuesday evening at a Cedar Rapids hospital where she had been taken that afternoon. She was born at Linn Grove on April 22, 1880, the daughter of George W. and Mary Ellen Hammon Todd. With the exception of a period of about fifteen years when she was employed in Mount Vernon, she had spent her entire life in this community since 1888 when the family moved to Marion.
Miss Todd was a member of the Methodist church, Eastern Star, Fidelis circle of King's Daughters, and the Loyal division of the Methodist Ladies Aid.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Mary E. Todd, and one brother, Roy E. Todd, with whom she made her home at 1060 Sixth street.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock from the Yocom chapel, with the Rev. E.T. Gough, pastor of the Marion Methodist church, in charge. Interment will be in Oak Shade.
