Services Tuesday For W.L. Kramer
Walter L. Kramer, 62 of 927 Sixth street, foreman of the mails at the Marion post office, died Saturday evening.
Mr. Kramer had worked with the postal service for the last 24 years.
Born Aug. 31, 1899, at Waverly, he was married to Frances Hoover at Marion Feb. 14, 1921. He was a resident of Marion for 58 years.
Mr. Kramer served with the army in France and Germany during World war I. He was a member of Marion Post 298, American Legion; post 788, Veterans of Foreign Wars; United Federation of Postal Clerks, and National Assn. of Postal Supervisors.
Survivors are his wife; his father, Clyde Kramer of Fontana, Calif.; a son, Elwood, of Rockport, Mass.; a daughter, Mrs. John Trimble of Marion; 7 grandchildren, andn a sister, Mrs. Melvin Morehead of Maquoketa.
Services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Murdoch chapel conducted by the Rev. Warren Hoover of Mt. Morris, Ill. Marion Post 298, American Legion, will conduct graveside military services at Oak Shade. Friends may call at the chapel.
