R.T. Clark
Richard T. (Ted) Clark, 426 Thirty-seventh street NE, a lifelong resident of the Cedar Rapids area, died Friday following a short illness. Mr. Clark was employed by the Cedar Rapids school board for over 40 years in the maintenance department.
Born Feb. 6, 1907, in Cedar Rapids, he was married to Laurine Eckhart Aug. 20, 1927.
He was a member of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint of Cedar Rapids and was an ordained minster in the church as a deacon. He was first president of the Service EMployes[sic] International Local 55.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Harold Birky of Cedar Rapids, three grandchildren, two brothers, Merle and Russell Clark, both of Cedar Rapids; four sisters, Grace Ralston, ANamosa; Neoma Robertson, Martelle; Leona Crumpler, Timmonsville, S.C., and Laurien Ely, Mt. Vernon.
Memorial services: 3 p.m. Monday at Turner east by Elder William Landrum. Burial: Oak Shade cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the chapel until 2:30 p.m. Monday. The casket will not be opened after the services. Friends may if they wish make a contribution to the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Days Saints in Cedar Rapids, or the Heart Fund.
