Wayne Eckhart, 50, a former Cedar Rapids resident, died Wednesday in New York City.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1930, at Marion and had been employed as a stagehand in New York City. He was a member of the Stagehands Union and the Catholic church.
Surviving is his mother, Luella McDonnell of Cedar Rapids.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Beatty-Beurle-Murdoch Chapel by Monsignor Edmund J. Becker of All Saints Catholic Church. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the chapel after 2 p.m. Sunday until 1 p.m. Monday. The casket will not be opened following services.
