Mrs. Ida C. Root.
Mrs. Ida C. Root, 73, died at her home, 415 Thirty-third street NE, at 6:30 a.m., Saturday after a lingering illness. Born June 3, 1866, in Clearfield, Pa., she came to Cedar Rapids from Waterloo 30 years ago and had resided here since. She was a member of the St. James Methodist church, the D.A.R., and the W.R.C. Her husband, Mancil V. Root, a veteran of the Civil war, preceded her in death. Surviving is a daughter, Eleanor, at home; a sister, Mrs. L.H. Griffin, Cedar Rapids; a brother, C.W> Sutliff, Marion, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have not been made. Friends may call at the Moen chapel.
