Kathryn E. Eckhart, 78, formerly of Marion, and for the last three years a resident of Crestview Acres Nursing Home, died June 8, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. She was born the daughter of Ben B. and Mae (Conner) Frank on June 10, 1909, at Grand Jucntion.
On July 19, 1925, at Urbana, she was married to Raymond Eckhart.
Mrs. Eckhart was a member of First Baptist Church of Marion; a charter member of Marion Women's Club and the Soroptimist Club; and past president of Foreign Students Exchange.
Survivig in addition to her husband are a daughter, Hazel Hof of Gladbrook; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and two brothers.
Services were held June 11, at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion with the Rev. Harold Schlink officiating.
Burial was at Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
