IVA PEARL BARKWILL
Cedar Rapids-Iva Pearl Barkwill, 96, of Living Center East, Cedar Rapids, passed away there Friday July 9, 1993, of natural causes. Services were held Monday, July 12, 1993, at Murdoch Funeral Home, Marion. Burial was in Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Barkwill Hepfer of Salome, Arizona; a daughter-in-law, Gertrude Barkwill of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Terry Johnson, Anna Rivera and Scott and Steve Barkwill; and a great-granddaughter, Trina Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; one daughter; two sisters; and one brother.
Born the daughter of Hiram and Ella Spicer Massingale on February 7, 1897, in Cedar Rapids, she married Charles Emmet Barkwill, January 13, 1916. He died March 13, 1980. A longtime resident of Marion, Iva was [a] member of Marion Christian Church.
The Rev. Shirley Garrett officiated.
