Gretta Jane Richardson, 77, of 902 A Ave. NW, wife of the late Ralph Richardson, died Tuesday in a Cedar Rapids hospital, following a sudden illness.
Mrs. Richardson was born Oct. 7, 1900, in Martelle. Formerly of Marion, she had been a Cedar Rapids resident since 1946. Prior to her retirement in 1963 she had been employed by the Me Too Store. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Ruth Hoglund, Guttenberg; Lois Wharton and Milda Baker, both of Cedar Rapids; Renee Stramel, Decatur, Ill,; a brother, Verne Clemens, Grinnell, nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Thursday at Turner Chapel West by the Rev. Wilson Hyde. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at Turner Chapel West until 2:45 p.m. Thursday. The casket will not be opened after the service.
