Funeral Services Held Wednesday for Joseph F. Green, 33
Very early Monday morning, Joe Green, a popular and worthy young man of this city, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital after a two months illness, leaving a young wife and small son.
Although he was born at Stone City, March 10, 1904, most of his years have been spent in this city. He was educated in the local schools, and has worked or played with most of the younger men of the community. Always pleasant, agreeable, and willing, he had found many niches to fit into in local community life. For several years he was employed at the Hallwood, but for the past year has been working for a Cedar Rapids collecting agency. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church.
June 14, 1934, he was married to Margaret Bisek. Their small son's name is Joseph Edward.
His father, who now lives in Los Angeles, his mother, sister, half-brother and half-sister, living in Savanna, also survive.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic church with the Rev. Father T.J. McElliott officiating. Burial was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
