Obituary of John F. Taylor
John Foster Taylor was born July 15, 1890 in Marion, and died at Sunnycrest sanatorium, Dubuque, January 18, 1922. He was the second child and only son of Ed. M. and Mary Nichols Taylor.
Most of his life was spent in his native city, where he was an employee most of the time of the Milwaukee railroad. A few years he spent in the employment of the government at Davenport, Iowa, and Savanna, Ill., until ill health made it impossible for him to remain at work. All that could be done by loving relatives and friends was done to help restore his health, but to no avail. His mother preceded him in death in the fall of 1920. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Winter Taylor, and son Charles, his father and two sisters, Miss Mary Taylor, of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Donald J. Herron, of this city.
The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at Cathcart's chapel, with the Rev. S.D. Noah of the Christian church officiating. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
