Mrs. J.A. Ratliff, 75, of 3052 Thirty-second street NE, died Thursday at 6:20 a.m. after a long illness. She was born Susanna M. Begley Jan. 2, 1869, at Gordonsville, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Ratliff moved to Cedar Rapids in May, 1944, from Marion. Mrs. Ratliff was a member of the Marion Free Methodist church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two brothers, John and Henry Begley of Gordonsville; four stepchildren, Mrs. Mae Klock, Ernest Ratliff and Mrs. Lillian Daly of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Florence Genz of Detroit, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Yocom chape, Marion, in charge of the Rev. C.B. Patrick and burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
