Obituary of Matilda Ratliff
Matilda D. Ratliff, who died in a local hospital Feb. 28, was born in Woodlawn, Mo., Feb. 3, 1866. She was united in marriage to Jonas A. Ratliff, also of Woodlaw, Sept. 1, 1886. To this union was born four children who with her husband survive. They are, one son, Ernest and three daughters, Mrs. Charles Ross, Mrs. James Daly and Mrs. Fred Genz. There are also six grandsons and one granddaughter, all living in Kenwood Park, and one brother, Elisha Sanders of Hannibal, Mo.
In 1900 Mr. and Mrs. Ratliff moved to Iowa and settled in Farley. They resided there until March 1920 when they moved to Kenwood Park.
She was a kind and loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed in her home.
She was a member of the Mystic Workers and also a member of the Christian church for thirty-five years.
The family wish to thank their friends and neighbors for many acts of kindness shown during the illness of Mrs. Ratliff--Contributed.
