James F. Daly, 76, of 447 Ninth avenue SW, died Sunday after a brief illness. Born in Cresco Feb. 27, 1896, he had resided in Cedar Rapids since 1941. He was a retired employe of Wilson-Sinclair Co. He was a veteran of World war I and a member of Hanford American Legion post.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lillian Ratliff, to whom he was married May 26, 1920, in Marion; a son, Roger A. Daly, of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Nell Daly, Minneapolis, and Mrs. William Lusson, Iowa Falls, and a brother Thomas Daly, Cresco.
Services: Janeba-Kuba funeral home west Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. by the Very Rev. Canon Dominic Loferski. Burial: Oak Shade cemetery, Marion. Military graveside services will be conducted by Hanford post. Friends may call at Janeba-Kuba after 7 p.m. Monday.
