Cecelia[sic] E. Silker, 70, of 853 13th St., Marion, wife of Kenneth Silker, Sr., died in a Cedar Rapids hospital Saturday night, following a long illness.
She was born Feb. 17, 1907 at Protovin. She had been a resident of Marion for the past 52 years. Mrs. Silker was a member of St. Joseph's chuch in Marion. She was also a member of the Milwaukee Woman's club.
On Sept. 3, 1938, she was married to Kenneth Silker, Sr. in Marion.
Survivors are her husband, one son, Kenneth, Jr. of Marion; two grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Joseph's church by the Rev. David Pepper. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery. The Rev. Father Pepper recited rosary at 8 p.m. Monday in the Baxter Memorial Chapel. Baxter's had charge of the arrangements.
