Tudeen Rites In Marion Wednesday
Rites for Verna A. Tudeen, former Marion resident who died in a Kansas City, hospital Sunday night, were held at the Yocom chapel Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Richard Goins officiating.
Born Sept. 22, 1912, at Van Horne, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tudeen, of Marion. Graduating from Marion high school in 1930 he married Marjorie Lyons in 1938 at Bushnell, Ill.
Pallbearers wre Lyle Lochner, Robert Zingula, Leland Burns, William Plotz, [can't read] Tudeen and Frank Lochner. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
Besides his wife and father, he iw survived by a daughter, Lynda, a son, Verne, Jr., two brothers, Roy of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Ben of Marion, five sisters, Mrs. Ed Lochner, Mrsl Clifford Burns, Mrs. George Zingula, Mrs. Bert Nedrow, all of Marion, and Mrs. Ed Plotz, of Cedar Rapids; a step-mother of Marion. A sister, Mrs. Bertha Baker, died in Marion in 1933.
