One of the oldest and best homes in Marion is bereaved. The final summons came to Mrs. Ben R. Reichard at 1:30 a.m. Thursday. No one ever spoke of her but to praise. In all that is good in life she deserved the best. The end came many years too soon. Her age was 70 years. Her maiden name was Maria Louisa JOnes. April 6th, 1871, she was married to Ben R. Reichard, one of Marion's best citizens. He survives--also one son, George, and Mesdames Holloway and Campbell, all of Marion, amd Mrs Lleuellen of Des MOines, and one brother J.E. Jones, and one sister, Mrs. David Gilmore. To the surviving members of the family we extend sincerest sympathy.
