Charles Dwight Benedict, 68, passed away Wednesday at 8:35 p.m., at his home, 965 Second avenue, after a long illness. He was born January 6, 1876 at Coventryville, N.Y., the son of Ethan A., and Mary Elizabeth Decker Benedict.
Mr. Benedict was married November 10, 1898 at Manchester, to Charlotte Marie Hanson. He is survived by his widow, two children and four grandchildren: Mrs. Phyllis M. Houser, A. LeRoy Benedict; Roy M. Houser, jr., Patricia Jeanne Benedict, Thomas Charles Benedict and LeRoy Benedict, all of Marion. Also two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Gates of Los Angeles and Mrs. Lillian Ebbert, of Milwaukee.
Mr. Benedict was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Services will be held Saturday April 29, at 2:30 p.m. from the Yocom chapel, in charge of Rev. C.V.R. DeJong. Burial will be made in Oak Shade cemetery.
