Phyllis M. Houser, 91, of 700 35th St., Marion, died Friday morning in St. Luke's Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born Feb. 10, 1899, at Marion, she was a member of the Marion American Legion Auxiliary Unit 298 and a longtime volunteer for Alcoholics Anonymous.
Surviving are a grandson, three great-grandchildren and three stepgreat[sic]-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Monday, Murdoch Chapel, Marion, by the Rev. Jon Gaul of First United Methodist Church, Marion. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the chapel. A memorial fund has been established.
