Elizabeth Bigger, 83, Of Near Marion Dies
Elizabeth Marie Bigger, 83, a lifelong Linn county resident, died early Monday in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
She was born July 8, 1876, at the family homestead and resided on the same farm, south of Marion, at the time of her death. She was married to James Bigger Feb. 7, 1900. He died in 1917. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Survivors include 2 sons, J. Lawrence and Julius Bigger of Marion; 2 daughters, Mrs. H.H. Barnett of Temple City, Calif., and Mrs. Stanley Nielsen of Marion; 4 grandchildren, and a brother, Edward Schultz of Marion.
Services: 1:30 p.m. in Murdoch chapel by the Rev. Jean P. Hauter. Burial: Oakshade[sic] cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
