Bigger Services To Be Thursday
Elizabeth M. Bigger, widow of James E. Bigger and a lifelong resident of the rural Marion community, passed away early Monday morning, June 6, in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
She was born the daughter of Henry and Minnie Schrader Schultz, near Marion. On February 7, 1900, at Marion she married James Bigger who passed away on November 28, 1917. Mrs. Bigger attended Marion high school and was a member of the Marion Presbyterian church.
Surviving are two son, J. Lawrence and Julius of Marion; two daughters, Mrs. H.H. (Ethel_ Barnett of Temple City, Calif., and Mrs. Stanley (Louise) Nielsen of Marion; 4 grandchildren, Kay and Bruce Nielsen of Marion, John Bigger with the U.S. Navy of Norfolk, Va., and Rosann McMillen of South Pasadena, California. A brother, Edward Schultz of Marion also survives.
Services will be conducted at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion by Rev. Jean P. Hauter at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9. Interment will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
