Following a long illness, Mrs. Martha Ann Reynolds, died at an early hour Saturday morning at her home in the Christie building.
She was born near Center Point Jan. 3, 1858, the daughter of Daniel and Mary Emily Gott Maddox, and was married December 31, 1879 to Davis Reynolds, and moved to Marion 56 years ago.
Surviving her besides the husband are five daughter, Mrs. Mable Sharp of Oak Forest, Ill., Mrs. Harime [sic] Norton of Anamosa, Mrs. Ethel Daws, Mrs. Hazel Hardin [sic] and Mrs. Stella Collins, and two sons, John and Harley Reynolds, all of Marion, seventeen grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Stobaugh of Marion and Mrs. Stella Hevery of Cedar Rapids.
Mrs. Reynolds had been a member of the Christian church for many years.
Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Irving E. Wade of the Christian church, were held Monday from the Yocom chapel. Burial was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
