Mrs. Grace Reynolds Taylor died in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday evening, October 9, 1918, following a brief illness of pneumonia. She was the fifth of a family of eight children of Mr. and Mrs. David Reynolds of Marion and was the first to be taken away.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Marion July 18, 1890, and had resided in this city until her marriage to George Taylor July 26, 1917. The marriage took place in Iowa City. Since then she had resided in Cedar Rapids, where her husband is employed in the offices of the Western Union.
She was a young woman of irreproachable character, a loyal friend, an affectionate daughter and sister and a devoted wife.
She is survived by her parents, five sisters, Mrs. Mabel Sharp, Mrs. Harmie Norton, Mrs. Ethel Dowes, Mrs. Hazel Hardin and Miss Stella Reynolds; and two brothers, John D. and Harlie Reynolds, all of Marion.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the home of her parents on south Tenth street.
