James J. Cahill, 65, died here Wednesday afternoon at his home at 1930 Seventh avenue.
Born Feb. 25, 1882, at Spragueville, Iowa, he moved to Marion about 25 years ago. He was a retired light company employee.
He is survived by two sons: Emerson E., of Minneapolis, Minn., and DeVere, of Lomita, Calif; one grandson; three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Butler and Mrs. Helen Sipes, both of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Kate Rooney, of Danbury, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Yocom chapel with the Rev. Richard Goins officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel Friday afternoon.
