Five men arrested Saturday following a fatal fight in Lisbon are scheduled to appear Tuesday evening in mayor's court there....
Dead as a result of the fight was Larry Laverne Johnston, 32 of Springville.
Johnston was dead on arrival at a Cedar Rapids hospital early Saturday.
Johnston was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids and vicinity. He was born in Shellsburg July 6, 1938 and was married to JoAnn M. Spracklin in Mt. Vernon on June 17, 1955.
Surviving are his wife; two daughterse, Deborah and Tami, two sons, Larry, Jr. and Michael at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl S. Johnston of Springville; a sister, Mrs. William Montgomery of Shellsburg; three brothers, Karl of Springville, Kenneth and Robert, both of Marion; and two grandmothers, Mrs. Belle Scott of Shellsburg and Mrs. Clara Johnston of Springville.
Mr. Johnston was a member of the E.U.B. church and the Carpenter's union.
Services: Beatty-Beurle chapel at a time to be announced. Interment: Shiloh cemetery, Hiawatha. Friends may call at Beatty-Beurle's after 2 p.m. Sunday.
