George Carl Jensen, 86, formerly of 515 A avenue, NE, a retired photographer, died Monday following a long illness.
Born April 18, 1881, in Maquoketa, he had been a Cedar Rapids resident since 1912. He attended First Lutheran church. Surviving are a daughter, Bertha Thorne, Elgin, Ill.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Charles Haselow of Cedar Rapids.
Services: Turner chapel west at 1:30 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. John M. Jensen of First Lutheran church. Burial: Shiloh cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel until 1 p.m. Thursday. The casket will not be opened after the service.
