James Fleming, a native of Ireland, died at 5 o'clock Wednesday evening at his home on B avenue West. He was 71 years of age and had been a resident of Iowa for 35 years. He is survived by the following children: Lizzie and James Fleming and Mrs. Hendricks, of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Hines, of California; Mrs. Samons [sic], of ElPaso: Colorado [sic]; Mrs. Ferena, of New Orleans; Mrs. French of Denver, and Michael Fleming of Minneapolis. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 o'clock tomorrow morning from St. Patrick's church and the remains will be taken to Walker for interment.
