Bess A. Milner passed away at 10:55 Sunday, Oct. 20, at a Cedar Rapids hospital. She had made her home with Dr. and Mrs. A.E. Crew of 1160 Ninth ave.
She was born in Marion on September 24, 1882, the daughter of Francis M. and Margaret Reichard Goldsberry. She was married to Harry Milner in Marion on February 28, 1907. She returned to Marion in 1940 after living in South Dakota for 25 years. She was a member of of the Marion Methodist church, Marion Chapter 183, O.E.S., and the Omeigo club.
Surviving are a son, Ralph Milner of Trion, N.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene W. (Mary) Houda of Cherokee; two grandchildren Douglas Houda and Judy Milner; a brother, Frank Goldsberry of Lakeport, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Harley Ives and Mrs. John M. Gibney, both of Marion.
Memorial services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Murdoch chapel by the Rev. Ralph Baker, pastor of the Marion Methodist church. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery in Marion.
