Elizabeth J. Busenbark Travis, daughter of Mr. and MRs. Alfred Busenbark, was born in Mt. Vernon, Ia., on December 19, 1867, and passed to the Great Beyond, August 11, 1922, after an illness of two months, during which time she was at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Mrs. Travis had lived in Linn county all her life, was a member of the Grove City Rebekah Lodge, of Marion and of Marion Chapter, O.E.S., and a member of the Methodist church.
She leaves to mourn her untimely death two sons, Harold E. of Marion and Harlan D., of New Bern, North Carolina; four brothers, J.Q. Busenbark, of Chicago, Oscar of Marion, Ralph of Mt. Vernon, and Paul of North Dakota. Four sisters also survive, Dr. Lucy M. Busenbark Harback of Des Moines; Mrs. W.F. Travis of Mt. Vernon; Mrs. S.D. Stouffer of Berkerly, Cal., and Mrs. Carl C.F. Groll of Marion.
