Helen Oxley, 101, a lifelong resident of Marion, Iowa, passed away from complications of natural causes on Sept. 17, 2007, at Northbrook Manor Care Center in Cedar Rapids.
According to her wishes, graveside services will be held in Oakshade [sic] Cemetery in Marion at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, by Ken Graham, pastoral assistant, Center Point United Methodist Church...
Helen was born July 5, 1906, in rural Marion, the daughter of Clarence R. and Lizzie (Groll) Oxley. She graduated from Healds Business College in Mill Valley, Calif. She was employed many years in Marion by the Witwer Co. at the Me Too store. Her outgoing personality brought her many friends of all ages. Helen loved horses and was fond of attending races.

Helen was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Oxley and Marshall Oxley.
