Grace E. Starbuck Phelps, 97, of 992 Eighth St., Marion, died Friday in Northbrook Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids.
Born Jan. 8, 1891, at Tama, she married Leslie Phelps June 1, 1912, at Marion. He died in 1971. Mrs. Phelps worked for Marion Telephone Co. and had been a member of First United Methodist Church at Marion since 1889. She also was a member of NARFE and Cary Club and was Past Noble Grand of Grove City Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include a nephew and two great-nephews.
Memorial services: 10 a.m. Friday, Murdoch Chapel, Marion, by the Rev. Jon Gaul of First United Methodist Church, Marion. Inurnment: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. The family will greet friends one hours before service time at the chapel.
