Robison Funeral Services on Thurs.
C. Merle Robison, 53, a Milwaukee Railroad car inspector, died suddenly at 11:50 a.m. Thursday at his home, 938 Eighth street. He was born March 10, 1897 at Massillon, Iowa, the youngest son of Calvin A. and Sarah Gordan Robison. He came to Marion in 1911 with his parents and has made his home here since that time. On June 9, 1925 he was married to Miss Dorothy Klumph.
Mr. Robison was a member of the Marion Presbyterian church, Marion Lodge No. 6 A.F. & A.M.; Osceola Lodge No. 18, I.O.O.F.; Marion Chapter No. 183, O.E.S. and the Brotherhood of Railway carmen. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Calvin L. Robison at home and two brothers, Harry of Savanna and Earl of Lanark, and a sister, Miss Maud A. Robison of Marion. Two brothers, Neal and Arthur, preceded him in death.
Among those from out of town who attended the funearl were H.V. Robison of Savanna, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Darozier of Burlington, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Robison and family of Lanark, Ill.
Services were conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian church by the Rev. C.V.R. DeJong and burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
