Miss Emma M. Johnson, 62, of 1439 A avenue NE, Cedar Rapids, died Sunday at 3:10 p.m. in a Cedar Rapids hospital following a brief illness. Miss Johnson had been employed in the alteration department at Killian's for 15 years.
Born Nov. 7, 1893, in Marion, the daughter of Alick and Ida Samuelson Johnson, she attended Marion schools. She moved to Cedar Rapids from Marion about 10 years ago.
She was a member of the Marion Presbyterian church; Gethsamane White Shrine No. 1, Cedar Rapids, and Marion chapter No. 185, OES.
Surviving are two brothers, Carl W. Johnson of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Harry W. Johnson of Riverside, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. John Cone of Marion.
Memorial services will be conducted by the Rev. Jean P. Hauter at the Murdoch chapel, Marion, at a time to be announced later and burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery, Marion. Friends may call after 7 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) at the chapel.
