Thursday June 9, 1910 The Marion Sentinel
--Mrs. Ida Johnson was found dead in her bed Saturday morning by her daughter, when she went to call her. Less than a year ago Mrs. Johnson's husband dropped dead while at his work on the railroad, so this leaves the five children orphans. While she has not been well of late, her death was entirely unexpected, and was a great shock to the family and friends. She is survived by five children, Emma, Hannah, Victor, Carl and Harry; also three brothers, A. Samuelson and V. Samuelson, of this city; Ernest Samuelson of Burlington; a sister in Chicago; her father, at Mediapolis. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the residence, and conducted by Rev. James A. Smith, of the Presbyterian church.
