Former Resident Brought Here for Burial

Mrs. Bert H. Mercer, a for [sic] resident of this city, died Saturday at her home in Moline, Ill. The body was brought to Marion, where funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at the Pingrey undertaking parlors by the Rev. A.H. Hanscom of the Methodist church. Burial was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
Mrs. Mercer formerly lived in Marion, where her husband was a railroad man and passed away a number of years ago. She was born in Arcadia, Ind., and was married to Mr. Mercer in 1872, who was then a resident of Belle Plaine. Two children were born to them, Mrs. T.M. Smith of Sigourney and William Henry, who met his death in an accident several years ago.
