-Mr. James Duncan died Monday at his home, 5 1/2 miles northeast of Marion. He was born Dec. 6, 1839, at Galena, Ill., and moved to Dodgeville, Wisconsin, where he enlisted in the army. He was married on his return and moved to this county, where he has since resided. He leaves a wife, two sons, three daughters and a sister, G.H. Duncan, of Cedar Rapids, W.A. Duncan, of Marion, Mrs. Darius Green, of Pierre, S.D. and Mrs. Thomas Clark, of Scotch Grove, Iowa, and his sister, Mrs. Henry Dagenar, of Clear Lake, S.D. The funeral was conducted by Rev. C.C. Caspter, and interment was made in Marion.
