Mrs. Frank Mason Dies at South Bend
Mrs. Frank Mason, a former Marion resident, died in a South Bend, Ind., hospital Tuesday after a long illness.
The body will be returned to Marion late Thursday. Services will be held in the Yocom chapel at 3 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. James P. Gable officiating. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
The former Margaret Franz, she was born in Marion. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. John Franz. She was married in Marion and she and her husband lived in Iowa until they moved to South Bend 10 years ago. She was a member of the South Bend Christian church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Chester of Newton, and Richard Mason, South Bend; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a brother, Jay L. Franz, Chicago, and a sister, Mrs. Stella Erwin of Marion.
