SPRINGVILLE--Cecli H. Bennett, 63, a lifelong resident of Springville, died Friday at his home. He was born May 31, 1905, near Springville. On June 25, 1935, he was married to Ivy Lea Martin at Cedar Rapids. Mr. Bennett farmed until his retirement in 1965. He was a member of Springville Lodge No. 227, IOOF.
Surviving are his wife; his father, Cleve Bennett of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Lown of Springville and Mrs. Joseph Jordan of Toddville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Howard McShane of Springville, Aubrey McShane and Orville McShane of Central City; and two sisters, Lorenna McKee of Springville and Maxine Bowers of Cedar Rapids.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 at the Springville Presbyterian church by the Rev. Harold P. Martin. Burial: Cedar Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the Murdoch chapel in Springville.
