Friday March 7, 1913 Marion Register
ORVILLE LESTER KLOPP
As mentioned in Tuesday's Register, Orville Lester, the six year old son of Mr. and Mrs. S.H. Klopp died at the home of his parents west of town, Monday at 7 p.m. His young life went out with the setting of the sun.
He had not fully recovered from his recent illness with pneumonia when he was stricken with spinal meningitis. His parents, five brothers and four sisters survive.
The family have the sympathy of all the neighborhood and many Marion friends. He was a bright, manly boy. He would have been a splendid citizen if his life had been spared.
The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A.T. Bishop, pastor of the Marion M.E. church.
Beautiful floral piece attested the esteem in which he was justly held. "There is no death What seems so is transitior"
